I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
